Our New Couch

Ok so this is a lame post but we finally got a new couch and I love it so so much! It's grey which i love!

Ayla and I had a birthday!

Ayla and I share a birthday and this year was a little different with no family out here so celebrate with us. But we had a good day and were definitely not forgotten by our loved ones back west.

I received these Toms and they are the most comfortable shoes EVER! I want to buy them in all sorts of colors now!
While the kids were taking their naps Tyler took me out to lunch at Cheesecake Factory and we had a delicious time!
Later we had dinner with the kids and had cake and icecream and sang happy birthday to Ayla. We had planned for friends to come over but Ayla was running a fever. :( At least aunt Kyndra was here to add to the party. Wished I had gotten a picture of her :)

Here are the birthday girls. Poor Ayla not feeling her best. Oh, she's 2 and I"m 31.

Corbins first drawing

A rainbow and a sunshine. Corbin stopped in the middle of reading a book and said "mom, I want a magna doodle, I want to draw a picture." I was impressed with the outcome.

An update (sorry no pics)

So for those who haven't heard, I moved to Maryland! Wow! I"ve never thougth I'd say that in my life, but it's true!
Life here is better than I expected. First of all, Tyler is so excited to have this job and wishes he could tell me all about it when he gets home everyday, but alas he can't :( and you all are going to ask me who is works for and what does he do and all i will tell you and all that I will EVER know is that he does something with computers using his computer science degree! seriously, don't ask us cuz that's all we can tell you :)
the kids are so happy to be with their dad after being away for 2weeks. They also get all his attention when he gets home from work because there is no more homework to do!!!! yeah!!!
Corbin is getting smarter and smarter everyday and he gets to start Joyschool on the 31st! He also is working on using the big boy potty. I know i know he's too old to be wearing a diaper still but I can't get this boy to tell me when he has to go potty. I've tried a lot of different things too, i' m so discouraged.
He also loves spiderman and other superheroes right now. He got Legos from gma Kathy and loves loves loves them. Transformers are also a big hit with him!
Ayla, our little monkey sissy face bebe! She's 18months now and gets to go to nursery, she loves it and I love going to class finally! She loves Dora and Diego. She tells us want to do all the time, she's so bossy :) she will even disagree with what I choose to dress her in sometimes and cry and cry until i take the clothes off. She is such a copy cat, she does everything Corbin does! which can be a little scary sometimes because Corbin can be such a punk. She carries around her afghan I made for her when she was a baby. and of course, she still loves her Binky. She also loves playing the itouch and knows what games she wants to play, it's pretty cool to see her play it. SHE IS SO SMART. She understands all sorts of things I ask or tell her to do. her favorite thing to do is play in the tub, she will get in the tub 6 times a day if i let her!
I"m doing better than expected. Honestly, i haven't even cried yet. I do get teary-eyed when i think that i can't just drive a few hours to see my friends and family. But, i just don't think about that :) I keep myself busy with the new friends and activities i have. I've been so impressed with our new ward. I never thought my last ward could out do any other, but i'm glad to say my new ward does! From the very first day I felt welcomed and included. this whole week has been filled with play dates and girl's nights and facebook conversations. I just feel content. That feeling is hard for me to achieve.
Let's see...... other things i don't want to forget. Oh! everybody here drives a new car, seriously they do. This state has crazy regulations so i'm pretty sure that's why. But i feel so silly in gheto van :) don't get me wrong it runs just fine and i'm so glad to not to have car payments. But, it looks like we will be getting a new car here in a month or two :)
Our apartments great, Tyler did a good job finding a very nice, safe place for us to live. It has a nice pool for the kids, too! Haven't met any neighbors yet, I never see any of them. But i'm sure with time I will.
we don't have our household stuff yet. That was a big headache I don't want to relive, but hopefully it gets here soon and it's not damaged or anything crazy happens.
I wish i had more free time to explore the area and go sight seeing. I just have to relax i guess and Take one weekend at a time.It really is pretty here with all the trees. It's rained a lot in the last week, so hopefully that goes away. I'm used to the dry desert, so rain is a little weird.
anyway, I 'm loving my new adventure and hope all of my family and friends will one day come out and visit!!!!

Our first week in Maryland

So moving to Maryland hasn't been the smoothest, but we made it. We are with out our stuff, but we are reunited with Ty and that makes it ok. Hopefully our stuff will be out here this weekend.
Gma Howard sent the kids a little gift and Corbin got a Legos kit. So now we have the Krusty Krab in our dining room! And we have a table to use thanks to a friend from our ward!

The teething month

So i'm not quite sure why I want to remember this but I thought these pictures where cute. Poor Ayla has been getting her molars all at once and it has taken forever. One day at lunch she didn't want to eat, and sat and moaned and held her face. So I thought it was a great time for a photo! I'm such a nice mom.

Grant's Baptism/ Boise

So where to begin? We were so excited to go to Boise to help celebrate my nephew Grant's big baptism day. On the way there Ayla decided she had the flu and threw up in the car a few times Not. Fun. I was at least glad I had traveled with my mom and dad so at least I wasn't all alone.
But we reached Boise and tried to make the best of it. We stayed at my sister Kim's house so we were able to spend time with all the cousins. We swam the hotel and Corbin loved playing Legos with the big boys. Clay and Grant were so good to let him play. Corbin ended up having an ear infection so he wasn't the happiest kid that weekend either. So with two sick kids and no husband with me it was a rough weekend. We survived and made the ride home with Ayla crying most of the four hours later finding out she too had an ear infection. :)

I did turn 30!

I guess I should document that I turned 30 this year! My Birthday will most likely be taking a backseat for awhile since Ayla and I share a birthday. Not that I mind all the much now that i'm getting "old" :)

This year I celebrated with Tyler by going out on a date. My mom watched the kids Saturday night after Ayla's party. We went to dinner at Rudabega's and then to see True Grit. We even had time to walk around Super Walmart forever just talking and looking at stuff. We got to my mom and dad's late so we just slept there and went home in the morning! It was a great day!

Some February Pics

SO this was a rare moment I don't want to forget. Corbin is reading a book to Ayla. They don't always get along so this was a special moment!

Writing words and pictures in the tub is an activity Corbin LOVES to do. Tyler is the best at it sense he can draw better than I can. We love that Corbin loves to learn his letters and build words!
This is what we do for fun these days. Ever since Ayla got a shopping cart for her birthday Corbin has been pushing it around the apartment complex. He can spend a lot of time just running up and down the sidewalk! While Ayla fears for her life as he zooms by her!!

OH! and our day is never complete unless the kids have pulled out the train table drawers and sat in them to play!

Ayal's first Birthday

We had such fun for Ayla's first birthday! Everyone came out to my mom and dad's house and helped us celebrate! Cadence brought the ADORABLE butterfly cakes and cupcakes! She got a little kitchen, a baby stroller and baby, a shopping cart, and See-in-say. Thanks to everyone who came and made it a special day for her
